The Interbase server doesn't start automatically when my computer starts.

The information in this article applies to :
GDS 2000 PRO (French)

Description
This problem occurs when GDS 2000 and GDS 2000 PRO are both installed on the same computer. There is a problem with long filenames with some versions of Windows 95, 98 and ME. At Windows startup, Windows try to run the Interbase program from the C:\Program Files\OroLogic\GDS 2000 folder instead of C:\Program Files\OroLogic\GDS 2000 PRO folder.

Solution
To fix this problem, run the REGEDIT utility and go to the

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

item. Add a double quote at the beginning and at the end of the command

C:\PROGRAM FILES\OROLOGIC\GDS 2000 PRO\Interbase\bin\ibguard.exe

of the InterBaseGuardian entry. After the modification, it should look like the following line:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OROLOGIC\GDS 2000 PRO\Interbase\bin\ibguard.exe"

Quit the REGEDIT utility and restart your computer.

Status
OK

Note that since the version 1.02 of GDS 2000 PRO, the default folder for the installation is now C:\Program Files\OroLogic\GDSPRO instead of C:\Program Files\OroLogic\GDS 2000 PRO. It fix the problem.
