| #FAQ: 10028-EN, Date: 9/10/2001 When I print a service call, some information are incorrect in the "Actions" section. |
| The information in this article applies to : GDS 2000 PRO (English) GDS 2000 PRO (French) Description When the development team designed the "Standard model" printing layout, some errors have been forgotten. In the "Action (Section #1)" section, the fields "Technician #", "Technician name" and "Duration" were not selected properly.
Solution If you use your own service call printing layout and you created your printing layout from the "Standard model" printing layout, verify that the fields "Technician #" , "Technician name" and "Duration" are "Ac. Technician #" instead of "Technician #", "Ac. Technician name" instead of "Technician name" and "Ac. Duration" instead of "Duration".
If you use the "Standard model" printing layout, you need to create a new one from the "Standard model" printing layout and after it, you need to modify it. Here is how to do that: 1- From the "Tools" menu, select the "Service calls printing layouts" option. 2- Click the "Add" button. Type a short description for this new printing layout. For example, "My printing layout". Select the "Create a new printing layout from an existing one..." radio button then select "Standard model". Click on the "OK" button to create the new printing layout. 3- Select the printing layout you have just created and click the "Edit" button. You will get in the customizing environment of service calls printing layout. 4- Click on the "Action (Section #1)" tab then select the field object "Technician #". From the "Selected Object Properties" dialog box, select the field "Ac. Technician #" from the combo box containing the list of fields. 5- After it, select the field object "Technician name". From the "Selected Object Properties" dialog box, select the field "Ac. Technician name" from the combo box containing the list of fields. 6- After it, select the field object "Duration". From the "Selected Object Properties" dialog box, select the field "Ac. Duration" from the combo box containing the list of fields. 7- Click on the "OK" button to save your changes. The modifications to your own printing layout are done. 8- Now, you need to indicate to GDS 2000 PRO to use your own printing layout instead of the default one. To do that, go to the "System parameters" option from the "Options" menu. 9- Select the "General parameters" tab, then the "Default values" tab. From the "Default service calls printing layout" combo box, choose the new printing layout you have just created (For example "My printing layout"). 10- Click the "OK" button to save the changes. 11- The next time you will print service calls, GDS 2000 PRO will use your new printing layout instead of the default one. Status This problem has been fixed in the version 1.05 of GDS 2000 PRO. You need to verify and/or edit your printing layout if you are using or used a version of GDS 2000 PRO prior to the version 1.05. This problem does not occur if you began to use GDS 2000 PRO with the version 1.05.
