GDS 2000 (French)

Description
When using "GDS 2000" in network environment, I have to quit and restart the software in order to see modifications done by other users.

Solution
The "LOCAL SHARE" parameter must specify "TRUE" in the BDE (Borland Database Engine) parameters. This parameter should have been automatically set to "YES", if the network configuration was done with the "GDS 2000 Network configuration utility". However, it could be set to "FALSE" if you haven't followed the instructions in the online help to configure "GDS 2000" to run in network environment. In this case, do the following instructions to specify the right value to the "LOCAL SHARE" parameter:

1. Go to the Windows® "Control Panel"
2. Click twice on the "BDE Administrator" icon
3. Select "Configuration"
4. Click on "SYSTEME" and then on "INIT"
5. Click on "LOCAL SHARE" in the right window
6. Within the combo box, change the value from "False" to "True"
7. Select "Apply" in the menu "Object"
8. Click on "YES" to save the changes
9. Quit the BDE Administrator
