Description
When I run GDS 2000, I get the following message: "Insufficient memory..."

Solution
This problem occurs when GDS 2000 is unable to open the database. This error can be due to the fact that other applications on your computer use the same database engine (BDE) than GDS 2000. To correct this problem, you can increase the value of the "SHAREDMEMSIZE" parameter into the "BDE". Do the following steps to change the value of this parameter:

1. Go to the Windows® "Control Panel"
2. Click twice on the "BDE Administrator" icon
3. Select "Configuration"
4. Click on "SYSTEME" and then on "INIT"
5. Click on "SHAREDMEMSIZE" in the right window
6. If the value in this field is 2048, increase the value to 4096. If the value is already to 4096 increase the value to 8192.
7. Select "Apply" in the menu "Object"
8. Click on "YES" to save the changes
9. Quit the BDE Administrator
10. Restart your computer
